Adelaide woman Sasha’s Zahra and fiance Edgell have been forced to relive the same tragedy twice after losing two homes to a fire in less than four years, 7NEWS reported.
CFS crews rushed to the two-storey home on Mount Barker Rd at Aldgate last month but they were unable to save the house.
“It kind of feels a bit unbelievable to imagine something like this could happen twice,” Ms Zahra told 7NEWS.
“You just have to keep keeping on.”
The family were out celebrating Edgell’s birthday and no one was injured in the blaze but the couple lost everything, including the rings they were saving for their wedding next month.
“All of our possessions are completely gone. It was just our cars and the clothes that we were wearing,” Ms Zahra told 7NEWS.
It comes less than four years after the couple lost their tiny home in an electrical fire in Crafers just before Christmas in 2020.
The couple moved in with Sasha’s mother while they tried to find a new home but have just been forced to experience the same nightmare all over again.
Ms Zahra’s colleagues have now set up a Go Fund Me.
“Possessions can be replaced but people can’t be. We’ve got an amazing network around us – that’s really what has kept us going,” Ms Zahra said.
Colleagues have described the couple as “always the first people to help when it is needed” on the Go Fund Me page.
“They are some of the most positive and generous people we know. But now these incredible humans need your generosity,” they said.
“It’s hard to imagine the loss of everything.
“Any support given will help Sasha and Edgell regain some of what they lost as they rebuild their lives for a second time.”
