Six young men arrested after horror Halloween machete attack in Werribee
A 14-year-old boy is among six youths arrested for their alleged part in a horrific machete attack at Werribee on Halloween, which saw another teen sustain serious injuries.

Police have arrested six males aged as young as 14 over a horrific Halloween machete attack in Melbourne’s southwest.
Police allege a gang of youths armed with machetes, knives and poles attacked another group at a park on Rosella Ave in Werribee about 6.45pm on October 31.
A victim, aged 17, was struck with a machete, causing serious injuries to his lower body.
Despite his injuries the boy was able to run to safety at a nearby property.
However police allege he was followed by offenders and verbally threatened.
Two other victims both aged 18 were also followed to another location and assaulted with weapons.
One of the teens sustained serious lacerations to the head.
All three teens were treated in hospital following the violence.
Detectives from Taskforce Wayward on Friday executed nine warrants across Melbourne’s northwest and arrested six males.
Two 15-year-old boys and a 14-year-old boy were charged with violent disorder, possess controlled weapon and commit indictable offence on bail.
All three have been remanded to appear before a children’s court at a later date.
A 22-year-old man from Deer Park has been charged with violent disorder, possess controlled weapon, commit indictable offence on bail and fail to provide information.
He was remanded to appear before Sunshine Magistrates’ Court on November 17.
A 21-year-old man from Hoppers Crossing has been charged with violent disorder and was bailed to appear before Sunshine Magistrates’ Court on June 23 next year.
A 23-year-old Hoppers Crossing man was released without charged.
