CRICKET legend Shane Warne is about to have the biggest pay day of his career — pocketing more than $60,000 a day to survive six weeks in the South African jungle.

The Sunday Herald Sun has learned Warne has a “gentleman’s agreement” with Channel 10 that will see him paid more than $420,000 a week for I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here, with the star to receive $3 million in total.

TV experts say it is money well-spent for Ten because Warne will guarantee international exposure, publicity and viewers.

Warne’s whopping paycheque earns him 20-times more than his fellow celebrity campers believed to include Brendan Fevola, Anthony Callea and Layne Beachley.

News of Warne’s multi-million-dollar TV deal comes as the cricketer announced he was closing his charitable foundation amid investigations into its finances.

PROBE INTO WARNE FOUNDATION TO CONTINUE DESPITE CLOSURE

Warne has denied any wrongdoing, blaming the shut-down on “recent unwarranted speculation” about how much of its proceeds actually reached needy kids.

The Foundation’s board has said it distributed $3.67 million to charities since 2004.

Warne has repeatedly denied he’s doing the show but, after reaching an agreement with Ten, has deleted all tweets about the series and jetted out of the country.

It is understood Ten has been chasing Warne since last year but was unable to offer enough money to lure him until last week.

The arachnophobic spin-king is rumoured to have even insisted on a “no spider-eating” clause in his contract during intense negotiations with Ten.

The well-known ladies’ man will no doubt be pleased by rumours Bachelor beauty Laurina Fleur and ex-Funniest Home Videos host Toni Pearen could be his campmates.
