Motorcyclist injured at Round Hill before fatal horse crash at Bucca

A lane on the Bruce Highway has been closed following a crash between a truck and car near Bundaberg. LATEST.

Paramedics were called to two separate incidents in the Bundaberg region overnight.

A lane on the Bruce Highway was blocked on Saturday afternoon following a crash between a truck and car.

Emergency services were called to the Bruce Highway near Mulgrave St and Dear St, Gin Gin at 3.20pm.

A Queensland Ambulance Service spokesman said two people were involved in the crash and were both in a stable condition, declining to be taken to hospital.

A Queensland Police Service spokeswoman said the northbound lane was partially blocked and the right remained open to traffic.

This comes hours after a horse was killed by a vehicle on Gin Gin Rd at Bucca early Saturday morning.

A Queensland Fire Department spokeswoman said emergency services were called to the scene about 2.45am.

“We had one crew attend, everyone was out of the vehicle, but the horse was deceased,” she said.

Firefighters, along with police, worked to move the horse off the road to clear the area.

A Queensland Ambulance Service spokesman said paramedics assessed a man in his 20s at the scene, but he declined transport to hospital.

It was the second crash emergency crews responded to in the region within hours.

Earlier on Friday evening, paramedics took a man in his 20s to Bundaberg Hospital in a stable condition following a motorcycle crash on Bootmaker Dr in Round Hill at 7.07pm.
