A man has tragically died following a three-vehicle crash at Biggenden, in the North Burnett region on Saturday.
Emergency crews were called to the scene at Rollison Creek Bridge on Maryborough-Biggenden Rd shortly after 9.30am, following reports of a crash involving a motorcycle and two vehicles.
A Queensland Ambulance Service spokesman said paramedics arrived to find the 74-year-old motorcycle rider from Booral on the Fraser Coast with “life-threatening chest and leg injuries.” Police later confirmed he died at the scene.
At the time of reporting, Maryborough-Biggenden Road remained closed as investigations are underway by the Forensic Crash Unit.
Authorities expected the closure to last for several hours and motorists travelling to Biggenden were advised to seek alternate routes.
Police are appealing for witnesses.
