Lord Mayor Ramps Up Pressure On Nominating An Olympic Authority 08/12/2022

Lord Mayor Adrian Schrinner says he’s concerned with lack of an Olympic infrastructure oversight body more than 500 days since ­Brisbane won the 2032 Games  

The Palaszczuk government is on track to deliver a record $5.2bn surplus as billions of dollars are pumped into the state’s coffers amid a coal royalties bonanza.

Any caps on coal and gas prices will be only temporary, while the federal government has softened on a push from Queensland and NSW for compensation if the scheme to cut power bills goes ahead.

The rising black market demand for breast milk from body builders, cancer patients and those with Covid has sparked a call for human milk to be classified as “tissue” and regulated in the same way as supplies of blood.
