AUSTRALIAN cricketer Phillip Hughes has died after spending nearly two days in an induced coma.
He had been attempting to hook a bouncer during a Sheffield Shield match at the SCG on Tuesday afternoon when he was struck on the back of the head.
The popular batsman was rushed to St Vincent’s Hospital and never regained consciousness.
