HOME Affairs Minister Peter Dutton says he is “incredibly frustrated” with the visa appeal process that has allowed foreign-born criminals to avoid deportation.
The Herald Sun revealed on Monday that Turkish double murderer Mustafa Kunduraci was free to kill because decisions to keep him out of Australia were twice overturned by the forerunner to the Administrative Appeals Tribunal.
One of the victim’s sisters accused the migration review tribunal of having “blood on its hands”.

Mr Dutton said: “I can understand the frustration, I share it every day ... I think taxpayers, the Australian public, and most importantly the victims and their families, are being taken for a ride.”
The Herald Sun revealed earlier this year that the government was considering major reforms to make it easier to kick out foreign criminals.
Mr Dutton told 2GB on Monday that “we’ve got a lot of work to do in this space”.
“We are looking at ways which we can reform the process,” he said.
“We’re working as hard as we can to kick people out of our country who’ve done the wrong thing.”
