GRANT Hackett has once again swum into a lap of self-destruction, with sources saying his boozy bender started in Melbourne last weekend.
Hackett on Friday went to ground as he appears to have broken ties with his long-term manager, CHRIS WHITE, of International Quarterback.
One woman who knows the pitfalls of life after chasing the fast lane is LINDY KLIM, the ex-wife of the Olympic gold medallist’s former relay teammate MICHAEL KLIM.
Lindy spoke to Page 13 at Myer’s spectacular autumn 2017 runway at Melbourne University on Thursday night, where every detail was carefully planned from the black chrome cutlery and colour-coded food by Melbourne chef IAN CURLEY, to the electric Tesla cars ferrying models to and from the runway at the venue’s underground carpark.
“I can relate,” Klim said of Hackett.
“It definitely seems to be a problem. Life after swimming can be extremely difficult. These athletes reach such great goals — it’s all they train for — and it is very difficult to come out of that.”
