Rita Panahi: Media has allowed Teal candidates sense of entitlement to go unchecked

The arrogance and sense of entitlement of the Teal candidates is off the charts.

The privileged ladies of Simon Holmes a Court’s Climate 200 group have enjoyed a golden run from the bulk of the media who have given them saturation coverage minus any level of scrutiny.

That’s allowed the well-funded fake “independents” to make outlandish statements and policy announcements with little fear of analysis or backlash from their like-minded admirers at the ABC, Guardian, New Daily, Crikey, Saturday Paper et al.

Emboldened by the unchecked adoration from the Leftist media the teals have stepped up the gaslighting with Goldstein candidate Zoe Daniel even falsely accusing John Howard of using “gendered language”.

On the weekend we saw the unedifying display of former Labor member turned teal Dr Monique Ryan having a Twitter meltdown because the building her team vandalised was restored to its original state.

Teal “independent” Monique Ryan posted a lengthy Twitter thread on Saturday displaying a sense of entitlement that would make a Kardashian blush.

The Climate 200 candidate for Kooyong went online to vent her spleen because the building owners dared paint over her image and slogans. That’s what our Jewish friends call ‘chutzpah’.

You’d think the Ryan camp would be pleased they weren’t charged with property damage offences but instead she was indignant.

Dr Ryan firstly accused the treasurer Josh Frydenberg of “misinformation” for pointing out that she had no permission to paint her mural on the Kew building.

And then she posted a lengthy Twitter thread on Saturday displaying a sense of entitlement that would make a Kardashian blush.

Here’s just some of what Dr Ryan posted: “We woke up this morning and our beautiful mural had been painted over. Imagine being the painter sent to whitewash over “Active Hope”!”

“Our beautiful mural didn’t last long, and we’re pretty upset at how this was handled. But we aren’t about to let our “active hope” be extinguished!”

“The real vandals are the forces that caused the mural to be painted over before the paint was dry!”

Again, this Twitter tantrum came about because the property owners, who have said that the Ryan campaign did not have permission to use their prominent building as a free billboard, painted over the teal candidate’s image and political messages.

The media love for the teals is not hard to explain when you consider that much of the fourth estate and the teals are fellow travellers; both groups pretend to be centrists despite their political views leaning heavily Left, often well left of the Labor Party.
