Sonia Kruger has not one, but two “Old Hollywood glamour” looks prepared for the Logies on Sunday night, and ambitions to make it to the after parties.
The Gold Logie nominee, 57, said she asked renowned designer Steven Khalil if she could borrow this additional green gown for her catch-up with Confidential.
“When it comes to TV’s grand final, you want to make it extra special,” The Voice, Big Brother, and Dancing With The Stars host said.
“We’re still putting the finishing touches on the actual red carpet gown, which is an elegant vibe of what Kate Middleton would wear to the BAFTAs.”
The second is more “practical”.
Kruger is up against Hamish Blake, Julia Morris, Leigh Sales, Mark Coles Smith, Osher Gunsberg, and Shaun Micallef for Australian television’s top gong.
“If I won, there’s about 4000 people on my list to thank, so I think I might cut out names and randomly select them from my pocket,” she joked, “and the trophy would have to live in my daughter Maggie’s bedroom. I’d be so proud to put it on her bookshelf.”
Kruger said hosting the awards in Sydney “has given them a whole new lease on life.”
“I think we really should celebrate our industry because we employ a lot of Australians, we contribute a lot to the economy, and thank the viewers — because without them there would be no us.”
