Much of NSW will experience a wet week, meaning those planning to hit the beach may want to reconsider their long weekend plans.
Falls between 60mm-80mm are on the cards, according to Weatherzone, with the heaviest forecast for the Mid North Coast towards the end of the week.
Weatherzone’s Anthony Sharwood said warm waters off the coast are to blame.
“This year, the sea surface is much warmer than usual, with anomalies of a degree or more around virtually the entire continent, while waters off much of the NSW coast are around two degrees warmer than usual,” he said.
