Police put out an alert calling for information on Mr Tapp’s whereabouts, on Sunday, April 11.

Police had previously said Mt Tapp telephoned a friend at 10pm the same night he was last seen, and has not been seen or heard from since.

Detective Senior Sergeant Ian Young said: “Our thoughts are with the man’s family at this time and we ask that their privacy be respected.”

“We would also like to thank everyone who assisted with the search.”
