Nominations open for NT News Leader of the Year 2024

For the first time in 2024, the NT News will showcase those who are actively shaping a sustainable and brighter future within the Northern Territory, recognising their achievements and celebrating their successes through the inaugural Leader of the Year awards. NOMINATE HERE.

From the leaders working in frontline jobs to those imparting their knowledge to train future generations, the Northern Territory has more than its fair share of inspirational leaders.

Now, it’s time to honour our trailblazers and established leaders through the NT News’ inaugural Leader of the Year advocacy campaign and awards.

This editorially led campaign showcases those who are actively shaping a sustainable and brighter future within the Northern Territory, recognising their achievements and celebrating their successes.

The NT News will highlight these visionaries and innovators across several categories.

Nominations are open for leaders across six categories, with the finalists automatically entered in a People’s Choice and overall NT Leader of the Year category.

The six categories are:

Emerging Leader: Recognising up-and-coming leaders under 30 who are already positively impacting their local community (i.e. their school, neighbourhood, sports group etc.) Sponsored by GTNT Group.

Corporate Leader: An organisation, small or large, that demonstrates outstanding leadership in the Northern Territory. Sponsored by NEC.

Cultural and Recreational Leader: Has advanced the region’s cultural and recreational opportunities including in sectors such as arts and culture, sport, heritage and hospitality. Sponsorship opportunities still available.

Workplace Leader: Highlighting those who create job opportunities, cultivate a dynamic workplace culture and/or fosters innovation and entrepreneurship in their sector. Sponsorship opportunities still available.

Business Pioneer Leader: Recognising an established long-term leader who has helped shape the Northern Territory. Sponsored by Margetic and Sitzler Consolidated Holdings.

Front Line Leader: For our leaders who shape and influence our front line sectors including retail, hospitality, tourism and health. Sponsored by Mindil Beach Casino Resort.

The People’s Choice category, which is sponsored by the Northern Territory Government, is voted by our ntnews.com.au subscribers to recognise a leader chosen by the community for their impressive, inspirational contribution to the Territory.

Meanwhile, the overall NT News Leader of the Year Award 2024 will recognise a leader who exemplifies outstanding achievements across multiple facets of regional progress, awarded by our esteemed judging panel.

The winners of each category, plus the people’s choice and overall leader award recipients, will be announced at a special cocktail ceremony event at Mindil Beach Casino Resort on Wednesday, November 20.
