THE woman at the centre of a bitter fallout between Footy Show hosts Garry Lyon and Billy Brownless came out of hiding yesterday for the first time since the scandal broke.

Leaving her luxury Geelong home for the first time in three days, Nicky Brownless refused to comment on the saga which continues to rock the sporting and TV industries.

Mrs Brownless, wearing a black dress, ankle boots and Louis Vuitton shoulder bag, left her five-bedroom home accompanied by her two young adult daughters, lifestyle bloggers and Instagram stars Lucy and Ruby.

The glamorous mother-of-four is said to have engaged in a relationship with Mr Lyon, after she split with her former husband Brownless, causing a nasty rift between the two men.

Lyon, whose wife Melissa is said to be rallying behind him, is now off-air indefinitely, with Channel 9 issuing a statement on Saturday that he had stood down from media duties due to an “ongoing mental health condition.”

A Geelong friend of Mrs Brownless told the Herald Sun she was devastated by the situation.

“It’s a very delicate and upsetting time, she just wants to be left alone,” she said.

“Her priority at the moment is the children.

“She’s very well respected in Geelong and we are all supporting her.”

Mrs Brownless and her two daughters are firm fixtures on Melbourne’s social circuit, striking almost identical figures with their long blonde hair and love of designer clothes.

“They three of them are very fun and beautiful,” a mutual friend told the Herald Sun.

“They love the races and the polo and people call them the blonde Kardashians.”

During the day, Mr Brownless himself pulled up outside to pick up his two eldest children at lunchtime before speeding away and dropping them home a short time later.

Meanwhile friends and family close ranks around embattled Footy Show host Garry Lyon, his ex-team mate David Schwarz has revealed the Melbourne great’s friendship with Billy Brownless has “reached the point of no return”.

Schwarz told SEN radio the club had grown concerned about how their former captain had grown increasingly aloof over the past year.

Schwarz, who said Lyon supported him while he battled gambling addiction, said the scandal was a “tragedy” for both families involved, and encouraged people to rally behind all parties.

“It’s a tragedy because now two families are torn apart,” Schwarz said.

“We’ve got two blokes that are best mates.”

Although both the Brownless and Lyon are yet to speak about what happened, Lyon’s brother Rick tweeted the family was rallying behind the fallen football star.

Another Melbourne teammate, Steve Febey urged people to think twice before posting jokes about Lyon on social media.

“Regardless of the peripheral stuff that’s captured the headlines please be respectful to him and others suffering this illness,” Febey tweeted.

Beyond blue chief executive Georgie Harman declined to speak about the specifics of guilt on mental health but said Lyon deserved privacy.

“We wish Garry Lyon a speedy recovery,” she said.
