Geelong locals are getting ready for an extra-special birthday bash in the New Year.
Jan Juc’s Jazmin Smith and Lachy Scott will celebrate their 21st birthdays in 2021, and both are hoping to throw a big party to celebrate.
Ms Smith – who will turn 21 on April 6 – told the Geelong Advertiser she was “pretty stoked” to be able to celebrate the birthday bash with friends.
“I don’t normally have a big party, so this will be one of the first,” she said.
“I’m sending my parents to Melbourne for the night and having a bit of a house party.”
The birthday girl said she was hoping to receive tattoo vouchers for the milestone year, but was just happy to celebrate with loved ones.
“I was really happy that this year wasn’t a big birthday,” she said.
“Hopefully by April, we’re safe and in the clear so everyone can have a great time.”
Mr Scott said he wanted 2021 to be about “having fun and making the most of things”.
“I’m hoping next year we get a little more freedom, 2020 was pretty tough for a lot of people,” he said.
