THREE-MAN local act Koi Boys have scored themselves a place on The Voice.

Danny Faifair, Nuahere ‘Nuz’ Ngatai and former Sex and Chocolate member Kevin Keepa made it through the live auditions on Nine’s The Voice last night.

They turned all four of the judges chairs by singing Shake Your Body by The Jacksons.

GOLD COAST TRIO HEADHUNTED FOR THE VOICE SEASON FIVE

They decided to be coached by famed Australian pop-artist Delta Goodrem.

The trio have come back to audition as All-Stars after they were previously featured on season five of the show in 2016.

They had joined US pop artist Jessie J but were eliminated during the Super Battle rounds.

“It should be a lot easier this year because we know what’s happening,” Mr Keepa said.

“If we make it to the end, that will be sweet. But if we don’t, it will still be good to go on the show and get some more exposure.

After being eliminated three years ago, they went on to being signed by Universal Music, having a #1 album in New Zealand, performed at the Commonwealth Games closing ceremony and have had three sold out concerts.

“For us, it’s not too much about what you do on the show, it’s about what you do after it,” he said.

“If you get eliminated you can’t pack up camp and think ‘that’s it, I’m never going to be a singer’. You have to use what they give you. You take (the judge’s advice) on board and just try again a bit harder.”
