GOLD Coast Titans marquee signing David Fifita was arrested on Sunday morning – but then released later without charge – after an incident at a private home in the southern part of the city.

David Fifita was arrested after he was found at the Clear Island Waters home at about 8am on Sunday.

It is understood he was invited to the home but went to the wrong room.

Fifita was taken to the Broadbeach police station but later released without charge.

A Queensland Police spokesman said investigations were ongoing.

A Titans spokesman released a short statement on Sunday night.

“The Gold Coast Titans have been made aware of an incident involving one of the Club’s player,” he said.

“The NRL integrity unit have been notified.”

The 20-year-old has signed a record $3 million deal with to play for the Gold Coast Titans.

He previously played for the Brisbane Broncos and grew up playing at Keebra Park State High School.
