Gold Coast M1 southbound lanes reopened after truck smash

Traffic management have reopened lanes on the M1 after a truck crash.

LANES on the M1 have been reopened after two trucks crashed.

Emergency services were called to the southbound lanes at Hope Island, near exit 57, after the two trucks collided.

As of 10.30am, two lanes had been closed and traffic had banked up to Dreamworld.

The High Acuity Response Unit and critical care paramedics were called to the scene.

A man in his 60s was injured and was taken to Gold Coast University Hospital in a stable condition for spinal precautions.

The crash is now cleared with all lanes reopened.
