“The show is one of the Top End’s most loved events,” she said.

“A special general meeting is to be held late March 2021 and the new committee will commence planning for a bigger and better Freds Pass Rural Show for 2022 complete with all the family favourites plus so much more.”

Ms Purick said the show was a great opportunity for locals to showcase their wares and produce.

“In recent years, the show has featured a Paddock to Plate Event which was featured with nationally applauded chefs and the famous 50 km feast, which is a Top End dining experience that indulges the tastebuds of locally sourced ingredients including beef, pearl meat, seafood and crocodile – all prepared by Territory chefs,” she said.

The show was scheduled for the 22nd and 23rd of May this year.
