Prime Minister Scott Morrison has visited a hire business in Blackwood as the government tries to protect a wafer-thin buffer in the seat of Boothby, SA’s most marginal electorate.

Prime Minister Scott Morrison has kicked off his first South Australian election campaign visit, meeting a produce supplier in Hawthorndene.
Mr Morrison will today tour three key seats for the Liberal Party ahead of the May 18 federal election.
He began day 13 of the five-week campaign doing morning television interviews near the River Torrens in Adelaide, before heading to GD Wholesale Fruit & Veg at Hawthorndene.
At the produce supplier in the seat of Mayo, Mr Morrison, flanked by Liberal candidate Georgina Downer, viewed local fruit and vegetables.
He is then reported to have spoken with the business owner about how the Coalition’s measures could help them.
The Coalition on Tuesday promised to create 250,000 additional small and medium businesses over the next five years, if re-elected, and a new $100 million investment to establish an Australian Business Growth Fund.
PM visits Boothby
Mr Morrison then made an appearance at Blackwood Hire in Liberal MP Nicolle Flint’s seat of Boothby - the state’s most marginat at 2.8 per cent - with the incumbent and Premier Steven Marshall.
He toured the hire facility and addressed the media about the Coalition’s small and family business plan, praising Premier Steven Marshall.
“Just like being with Will Hodgman in Tasmania the other day, the turn around state, (it is) great to see the economy surging ahead. Well done, Steven,” Mr Morrison said.
“We have a great partnership with Steven Marshall in SA, and he has a great plan to take SA forward.”
Premier Marshall said he couldn’t be “more delighted” to have the Prime Minister in the state.
“The backbone of the South Australian economy is small business,” Mr Marshall said.
“The backbone of the Australian economy is small business, and the Morrison Government is doing everything it can to grow small business because we know that that will actually grow jobs and grow wealth for our nation.”
Mr Morrison is also expected to join Liberal candidate James Stevens in the seat of Sturt later today.
