Commuters have been left fuming after major delays on train lines in Sydney.
NSW Transport warned commuters at 5pm on Friday that trains may stop on platforms or between stations for longer than normal urgent overhead wiring repairs at Redfern.
“Delays are expected to continue for the rest of the evening.”
One man claims he has been stuck on a train travelling from Redfern to Schofields.
“GET US OUT!! Please! It’s been 2 hours.. it’s difficult to breathe in here!!!!” he wrote on X.
Sydney Trains responded saying an empty train was about to leave Strathfield and head towards Redfern, where it will stop alongside the train that has not been able to move.
“After that, you will be escorted off the train onto the empty train, & taken to Redfern. We expect this to happen within the next 30 mins.”
