Emergency services attended a caravan park at Wye River after reports he was struck by a car within the park around 3pm.

An Ambulance Victoria spokesperson said the boy suffered upper-body injuries and was flown to the Royal Children’s Hospital in Melbourne in a critical condition.

The Royal Children’s Hospital confirmed the patient was in a stable condition on Friday.

It comes after a horror Christmas Eve on Victoria’s roads in which three people lost their lives.
