Logies 2016 red carpet best dresses rated

FROM ball gowns to barely there, television starlets didn’t shy away from taking a risk with plenty of Logies red carpet razzle-dazzle. BEST DRESSES RATED

Logies Red Carpet glamour

THE stars stepped it up a notch at the Logies last night as exquisite embellishment and a spectacular array of stunning colour swept down the red carpet.

Rebecca Judd, who was the first star to step out on the red carpet, set the tone for the evening in a jaw dropping gown by couturiers J’Aton fit for a princess.

Shimmering, silvery and metallic blues were seen most beautifully on Olympia Vallance also stunning in J’Aton, Emma Booth in a chic Phillipa Galasso gown and Delta Goodrem in floaty Paolo Sebastian.

Shades of green were popular with Jesinta Campbell a knockout in jade green Camilla and Marc, and Laurina Fleure spectacular in emerald green Con Ilio.

The key rich wine colours of the season were best seen on Megan Gale in lace Paolo Sebastian, Cheyenne Tozzi in Valentino and Lauren Phillips in sheer Con Ilio.

Sherri Lee Biggs in Sonia Cappallazzo, Livinia Nixon in Kianna Magelaki and Miss Universe Australia Monica Radulovic in Vera Wang were white hot in the crisp hue.

Stars that were far from basic in black included Carrie Bickmore in beautifully beaded Paolo Sebastian, Dannii Minogue in feathered Ae’lkemi and Jessica Marais in immaculate J’Aton.

Marta Dusseldorp was a standout in sophisticated rose garden print Dolce and Gabbana, while Sarah Snook also shone in a chic Max Mara wide leg pantsuit.

Gold nominee Lee Lin Chin was true to her eccentric red carpet form, this time in a canary yellow homage to traditional tailored men’s suiting, accessorised with rope braces.

Fellow gold nominee Essie Davis was elegant and chic in velvet and feather-hemmed Leah Da Gloria.

Red Carpet action kicks off at the Logies

Celebrity mums celebrated Mother’s Day in style including Sonia Kruger in figure flattering Herve Leger, Pia Miller who looked sleek in Steven Khalil with son Lenny as her date and Julia Morris bright and bubbly in red Alin Le Kal.

There were few fashion faux pas. The most disappointing star was Jennifer Hawkins who, while looking cool in contemporary Alex Perry, lacked the wow factor we are used to seeing her sport on the red carpet.

Paolo Sebastian took out the award for best designer of the night dressing Bickmore, Ada Nicodemou, Goodrem and Gale all absolutely stunning in very different gowns.
