A road rage victim said she was labelled a “Jew c---“ and told “Hitler should have killed you all” in a horrific anti-Semitic attack.

The 48-year-old woman, who does not wish to be identified, said the racially motivated attack left her fearing for her life.

She told the Herald Sun she was driving in Elsternwick about 7pm on November 19 when a black Nissan hatchback nearly collided with her while turning on to Beavis St.

The female driver wound down her window and called the victim a “f---ing b---h” and when she responded, the male passenger yelled: “you Jew c---“ and “Hitler was right. He should have killed you all!”

The victim said: “I was just looking in disbelief, my mouth half opened trying to understand what was happening”.

The pair then threatened to ram her car if she didn’t move.

She said she locked eyes with passers-by and stayed put out of fear the pair would follow her.

The male aggressor then spat on her car.

“There were a few people around, plus a car drove past us, so he spat from his side and hit my left side mirror and door,” said the victim.

“I believe if it weren’t for those people the male would have come out of his car. There was a lot of hatred in both of them.”

The pair drove off and so did the woman, who thought she would be safe if she stayed behind them.

But she said they manoeuvred themselves behind her and began intimidating her as she drove along Glen Eira Rd, Ripponlea.

She said she grabbed a metal jack from inside her car and gestured to the pair that she was prepared to defend herself and they drove off.

“I was fearing for my life or that I could have been bashed,” she said.

“It was all due to my accent. It’s sad people feel so much hate for people they have never met before.”

Anti-Defamation Commission Chairman Dr Dvir Abramovich said the hate-filled incident is a “stain on our state.”

“No Victorian should ever be targeted and singled out for abuse because of their religion,” said Dr Abramovich.

“This bias-motivated harassment and intimidation occurred amid a dangerous tide of escalating anti-Semitism, and is a grim reminder that anti-Jewish bigotry remains a powerful force in Melbourne.”

The female driver is believed to be aged in her mid 20s, overweight with black hair and pimply skin.

The male passenger is the same age with short blonde hair and tattoos on his arms and neck.

Victoria Police has been notified about the incident.

Anyone with information is urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
