Kill plot wife Vicky Soteriou loses bid to avoid $2.4m compensation

WANNABE killer Vicki Soteriou — who arranged for her lover to attack her husband at his birthday celebrations — has lost a bid to avoid paying compo.

WANNABE husband killer Vicki Soteriou has lost another legal challenge against the man she tried to murder.

The mother of three arranged for her lover Ari Dimitrakis to attack ex-husband Chris in a failed murder plot that left him fighting for life.

A judge subsequently ordered her to pay her ex-husband $2.4 million in civil damages.

Mr Soteriou brought another claim against Vicky alleging she transferred property to her family from prison to stop him collecting the money she owed.

That matter settled, with Vicky, her parents and sister, agreeing to pay Mr Soteriou $125,000.

But just $15,000 was paid before Vicky launched her own claim arguing she was duped into entering into a Term of Settlement.

County Court judge Chris O'Neill today struck out that claim and reinstated the original settlement.

Vicky is serving at least nine years for attempted murder for planning the stabbing of her husband as he left his 44th birthday celebrations in 2010.

She gave Dimitrakis the knife only hours before the attack and told Chris she had planned a party for his birthday.

She then insisted on driving his car and parking in a Fitzroy backstreet. As the couple walked back to their car, Dimitrakis pounced — slashing Chris across his throat and stabbing him six times.

Dimitrakis was jailed for seven years.
