Teens still on the run after attack on 13-year-old boy at Highpoint

A pair of teenage thugs who attacked a 13-year-old boy while he waited at the bus stop at Highpoint Shopping Centre are still on the run.

Teenage thugs who assaulted a 13-year-old boy at Highpoint Shopping Centre more than two weeks ago are still on the run.

Investigators say the boy was standing at a bus stop at the Rosamond Road centre about 3.30pm on June 8 when he was assaulted by the pair.

The boy, from Ascot Vale, did not receive any serious injuries but police are yet to track down those responsible for the attack.

The men were described as being African in appearance, skinny and aged in their late teens.

The first man was last seen wearing a black bandana and a black and white striped shirt.

The second offender was wearing a white a dark blue Nike vest, grey long sleeve top, black beanie and sunglasses.
