A MAN charged with murder over last year’s Flinders Street rampage will undergo psychiatric tests to assess whether he is fit to face trial.
Saeed Noori, 32, is charged with the murder of 83-year-old Northcote man Antonios “Anton” Crocaris.
MURDER CHARGE LAID AGAINST RAMPAGE ACCUSED
Noori is also charged with 18 counts of attempted murder and one count of endangering life after he allegedly rammed his car into pedestrians just before Christmas.
Mr Crocaris died nine days after the alleged rampage.
The Melbourne Magistrates’ Court heard today Mr Noori would be assessed on June 8 to establish whether he was fit to stand trial or if a defence mental impairment was open to him.
The matter was adjourned for further mention on July 3.
