Flinders Street accused Saeed Noori charges to include murder

A MURDER charge has been laid against alleged Flinders St rampage driver Saeed Noori.

Homicide squad detectives today charged Noori with the murder of 83-year-old Northcote man Antonios “Anton” Crocaris.

Mr Crocaris died on Sunday from injuries suffered when he was hit by a car in Flinders St on December 21.

Mr Noori, 32, of West Heidelberg, had already been charged with 18 counts of attempted murder and one count of conduct endangering life.

He has been remanded in custody until May 30.

Police said three people remain in hospital where they are being treated for injuries suffered in the incident.

It is alleged a vehicle was used to ram into pedestrians near the Elizabeth St intersection.

Victoria Police said the incident has been traumatic to many people and urge anyone that witnessed it and needed assistance in coping to contact the Victims of Crime Helpline on 1800 819 817.
