THIS is the reason why crooks and face ink don’t mix.
Brodie Cooper’s face tattoo reads “Dead men tell no tails”.
But spelling problems are not the only thing he has to deal with after a warrant was issued for his arrest following a non-fatal shooting in Melton South last month.
When detectives from the Armed Crime Squad catch up with him they hope he will have a tale to tell.
Police were called to a property in Moss St in Melton South about 10am on May 23 following a dispute between Mr Cooper and his neighbours where threats were made and a gun was discharged.

A 47-year-old Melton South man and a 43-year-old Melton South woman who were present at the time were not injured.
Police believe all parties know each other.
Detectives have released an image of Cooper in the hope someone recognises him and can provide information on his current whereabouts.
He is described as 188cm tall, with a solid build, short brown hair and brown eyes with facial tattoos and a number of ear piercings.
Detectives have also released CCTV showing Cooper leaving his property in Melton South on a motorcycle following the shooting.
The 28-year-old is known to frequent the Melton area and police have information that he may be travelling to the Ararat and Hamilton areas.
Members of the public should call triple-0 (000) if they see Cooper.
Anyone with any other information regarding his whereabouts is urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or submit a confidential report online at crimestoppersvic.com.au.
