A NATIONWIDE manhunt for an alleged murderer from South Australia accused of murdering a mother of three ended on Friday when police swooped on a Melbourne address.

A NATIONWIDE manhunt for an alleged murderer from South Australia ended on Friday when police swooped on a Melbourne address.
Travis Kirchner, 43, wanted over the murder of Sally Rothe, 54, was taken into custody after police raided a home in Doveton.
Officers from Victoria Police Fugitive Task Force and Homicide Squad attended a home in Doveton after receiving a tip off from South Australia Police Major Crime Investigation.

A 49-year-old man and 50-year-old woman from Murray Bridge who were also at the home were arrested for allegedly assisting an offender to escape apprehension.
Ms Rothe’s battered body was found by police in her Murray Bridge home in South Australia on Sunday night.
Kirchner had been on the run for five days until SA police received a tip off on Friday.
The family of the mother of three have been notified of the arrests.
Officers from SAPOL’s Major Crime Investigation Branch will travel to Victoria this weekend to apply for all three to be extradited back to South Australia to face charges.
They will appear in the Dandenong Magistrates’ Court on Monday.
