Man stabbed near Sunshine Railway Station
A man who was stabbed and covered in blood has allegedly tried to flee police at a train station in Melbourne’s west last night, before collapsing and being taken to hospital.

A man has been found covered in blood after he was stabbed several times near a western suburbs railway station last night.
The victim, a 38-year old Sunshine man, was found at Sunshine Railway Station at 9.45pm last night covered in blood.
When Protective Service Officers discovered the man, he allegedly attempted to run away from them before collapsing on a nature strip.
A blood trail led investigators to the intersection of Harvester Road and Devonshire Road where they believe the assault took place.

The victim sustained head injuries and stab wounds to the abdomen.
Ambulance Victoria spokesman John Mullen said they were called to reports of an assault at 11pm.
“He was taken to the Royal Melbourne hospital in a serious but stable condition,” Mr Mullen said.
He was conveyed to hospital where he remains in a stable condition.
