A MELBOURNE man has been caught trying to smuggle half a kilo of ice through Melbourne Airport while using a false identity.
Australian Federal Police arrested the 37-year-old man yesterday afternoon when a body search discovered about 520 grams of methamphetamines in two clear packages strapped to his body.

AFP members pounced on the alleged drug smuggler shortly after his flight to Melbourne from Launceston had landed.
It is understood officers acted on a tip-off from an airline about the possible use of a false identity.
The man faced Melbourne Magistrates’ Court this morning with charges of using false identification information, possessing a substance and trafficking a substance.
The man was remanded in custody to face court on July 31.
