A man has admitted slashing a paramedic in the chest with a boxcutter knife in an horrific attack in front of her two young children on the Mornington Peninsula while he was on bail.

A man has admitted slashing a paramedic in the chest with a boxcutter knife in an horrific attack in front of her two young children while he was on bail.
Adam Tio Bardic, 47, today pleaded guilty in Melbourne Magistrates Court to intentionally cause injury to the ambulance officer at Rosebud on July 13 last year.
The woman, who was off duty but in uniform, was buckling her two girls, aged four and six, into the car on Point Nepean Rd when the man pinned her to her vehicle and slashed her.

She had only just finished work and had stopped to pick up fish and chips for dinner with her children when she was attacked about 6.15pm.
The 46-year-old suffered a 15cm long, 3cm deep chest wound, which required 15 stitches.
Bardic had been seen moments earlier inhaling from a garden hose protruding from a plastic bag as he tried to get into another locked car where a mother and her children were inside.
He fled on a bicycle as the paramedic yelled “help, help, help, he’s just stabbed me”.
Bardic, from Capel Sound, then went on a crime spree, smashing car windows, threatening a shop owner with a tomahawk and stealing a car.
When he swerved to narrowly avoid a head-on collision with an oncoming car on Point Nepean Rd about 9.50pm, his car smashed into bushland on the foreshore.
A couple who rushed to his aid were met by him angrily swinging a claw hammer and tomahawk at them.
Extremely scared and frightened they ran to their car, as Bardic fled on foot.
He was arrested after being found loitering outside the Rosebud Police Station hours later at 2.45am on July 14.
Bardic has also pleaded guilty to reckless conduct endangering life, car theft, drive unlicensed, property damage and commit an indictable offence while on bail.
He was on bail at the time, due to appear at the Dromana Magistrates Court on August 23, for drug possession charges.
Magistrate Charlie Rozencwajg remanded him to appear in the County Court on May 20.
