A MAN was taken to hospital after being shot at a house in Melbourne’s southeast yesterday morning.
Police were called to the Fulham Close property in Hampton Park about 9.30am.
The 30-year-old victim was taken to hospital in a stable condition with lower body injuries and detectives from the Armed Crime Squad have launched an investigation. The gunman is still on the run.

A dramatic police siege took place at the same address two months ago, when police were captured on video issuing instructions via a loudspeaker for the occupants to come out of the property unarmed at midnight on February 27.
Detective Senior Sergeant Mick Elliott said yesterday’s shooting was targeted but would not comment on whether it was linked to previous shootings in Melbourne.
Prior police involvement at the home has formed part of the investigation.
“There’s nothing we won’t look at,” Snr Sgt Elliot said.
“I understand members of the community may have some concerns about what’s occurred. Rest assured armed crime investigators will investigate thoroughly and do everything we can to understand the circumstances and what has occurred.”

Police believe the victim, also from Hampton Park, was shot in a back room of the house.
A black Holden ute with the registration JAILB-8 was parked out the front yesterday.
A crime scene examination was established after the shooting and the area taped off. Neighbours said residents at the house have unleashed “chaos” in the area since moving in about six months ago.
“It’s been trouble since they came here,” the neighbour said.
“There is always fighting and yelling and cars coming in and out.”
