Cash Converters’ Parkdale outlet hit with ram-raid for second time in less than a week

A suburban Cash Converters outlet has been hit with a ram-raid for the second time in less than a week, capping off an uncanny string of destructive events.

Ram-raiders have struck a suburban Cash Converters outlet for the second time in less than a week.

The latest attack occurred when thieves drove a white utility drove through the front entrance of the Parkdale store on Nepean Hwy about 5.45am today.

The entrance was still boarded up from a ram raid early Monday.

Victoria Police spokeswoman Leonie Johnson said: “Police are investigating a ram raid and burglary at a business in Parkdale this morning”.
“A quantity of electronic devices were stolen,’’ she said.

“The vehicle is yet to be located at this stage and the investigation is underway.”

Police were investigating whether the ram raid was linked to the earlier attack.

A car also struck a Bendigo Bank outlet in Aspendale Gardens on Wednesday but there was no further detail on what happened.

Chelsea SES spokesman Phil Wall, whose unit attended all three incidents, said the sequence of events was uncanny.

“We haven’t seen one and then we see three in the space of six days,’’ he said.
