A bikini model at the centre of Nick Steven’s perjury trial claimed the disgraced footballer bombarded her with hundreds of “forceful” sexualised messages and explicit videos after meeting once for five minutes at a footy event.

But Stevens has denied he ever met the woman.

The former Carlton player has pleaded not guilty to allegations he lied when he gave sworn evidence in 2014 while fighting charges he assaulted his former partner who confronted him about his infidelity.

Samantha Nash, now a day spa therapist, told the County Court on Friday she met Stevens at a football event in late 2012 and the pair “exchanged numbers but not names”.

The court heard Stevens went on to send Ms Nash 619 messages in just 11 days.

She said his text messages started off “playful” but soon began leading “towards a sexual nature.”

Among the exchanges, Stevens sent a video of himself performing a lewd act in front of a modelling photograph of Ms Nash, telling her “I made a sexy video”.

Ms Nash forwarded this video and other texts to Stevens’ then-girlfriend Laima McKenna, saying “I’m doing this for your sake”.

In a lengthy Facebook message, Ms Nash wrote: “For the past two weeks Nick has been calling and texting me flat out, day and night, saying he is single and was wanting to sleep with me.”

Ms McKenna told the jury she immediately called her boyfriend who denied knowing the woman.

But Stevens eventually admitted he knew her and begged for McKenna’s forgiveness, the jury heard.

“He said she meant nothing to him and that he would never do it again,

“He said he would never speak to her again,” Ms McKenna said during her testimony on Friday.

Ms Nash would go on to tell police in 2014 that she felt “threatened” by Stevens when she refused his repeated requests to meet up for sex, the court heard.

But defence barrister Jason Gullaci this was “an invention” and disputed claims she and Stevens had ever really met.

Ms Nash said she could not remember specific details about the event including when, where or who else was there, but denied she made up the meeting.

“It wasn’t a very long meeting … maybe 5-7 minutes,” she said.

Stevens had testified at Ringwood Magistrates’ Court in 2014 that “(he) never met a Samantha Nash”.

“Still to this day I don’t think a Samantha Nash is actually a Samantha Nash,” he had said, adding he thought the name may have been used as an alias.

Mr Gullaci told the jury they must consider whether Stevens thought Ms Nash “was a real and genuine person” when he gave his answers.

The trial before Judge George Georgiou continues.
