Anti-bikie cops raid Bandidos’ Brunswick clubhouse and Doveton home
Anti-bikie detectives have raided the Bandidos’ Melbourne clubhouse this morning, storming the Brunswick property along with a home in Doveton as part of an ongoing investigation.

A loaded gun has been seized from in a police swoop on violence-plagued Bandido bikie headquarters in Brunswick.
Officers from the anti-bikie Echo taskforce moved in on the Weston St, Brunswick, clubhouse in the early hours of this morning.
The loaded gun and drugs, believed to be steroids, were seized in the operation.
Police arrested a 48-year-old Brunswick man at the scene.
He has been charged with possessing an unregistered handgun, possessing a drug of dependence and possessing ammunition without a licence.
The man was bailed to appear in the Melbourne Magistrates’ Court on November 14.
Investigators made a simultaneous raid on a home in Doveton.
There were no arrests there.
The Weston St clubhouse has been at the centre of a number of major incidents in the past decade.
Former Bandido strongman Toby Mitchell was shot outside the Brunswick clubhouse in 2011 in an ambush which nearly claimed his life.
Michael Strike was murdered inside the building in 2014.
In 2017, three men were shot in front of the building. The rival Comanchero gang was suspected of being behind he attack.
A nearby trader said it had been several years since he had seen such a large police presence at the Bandidos clubhouse.
He said when his colleague arrived at 8.30am, the street was full of police cars and one SES unit.
A Victoria Police spokesperson said: “There are no current threats to public safety.”
The SES confirmed they were assisting police with floodlighting on Weston St in Brunswick.
“As the investigation is ongoing, it would not be appropriate to comment further at this time,” Victoria Police spokeswoman Alex Day said.

The Bandidos have for years been regarded as among Australia’s most influential outlaw motorcycle gang groups.
Police finished their raids and left Weston St about 10.35am.
The Echo Taskforce was launched in 2011 to investigate Victoria’s outlaw bikie gangs.
