Jesinta and Buddy Franklin launching philanthropic project to ‘give back’

JESINTA Franklin is teaming up with her husband, Sydney Swans star Buddy Franklin, to launch a philanthropic project as a way of “giving back”.

JESINTA Franklin is teaming up with her husband, Sydney Swans star Buddy Franklin, with the pair joining forces to launch a philanthropic project.

Franklin, who was in Melbourne on Thursday to launch her ambassadorial role with Cadbury Dark Milk Chocolate, said while she loved the fashion industry she was seeking to make a bigger impact on the world.

“The next project is philanthropy-based but it is something that is very close to both of our hearts,” she said.

“For me now it is about giving back. It is about using the platform that I have created to be a voice for people who don’t have a voice and to make a difference in the world.

“I love the fashion, I love the photoshoots, I love red carpets and runway shows I get to do, but I feel like my true calling is going to be this project.”

Franklin brushed off criticism that her Cadbury role was at odds with her healthy lifestyle mantra.

“I have always said I am 80 per cent clean and lean and 20 per cent indulgent,” she said.

“If I can’t have a piece of chocolate then I am going to go bloody insane.”
