POPULAR newsreader Jennifer Keyte is “feeling great” as she prepares to take over the reins at Ten Eyewitness News.
Looking upbeat and relaxed as she did her morning chores, Keyte on Thursday stepped out in Brighton, days after her shock defection from Seven News to Ten.
“I’m feeling great,” Keyte told the Herald Sun on Thursday. She was seen dropping her son off at school before returning to her home at the end of the street. Keyte was seen with her make-up artist before dashing off to another appointment.

The decision to axe long-time Ten anchor Stephen Quartermain — who found out just minutes before presenting a 5pm news bulletin — sent shockwaves through media circles.
Quartermain was reportedly shattered by the decision, although Ten has promised he would be redeployed. Keyte was snapped leaving her home in leafy Brighton and cut a relaxed figure on Thursday.
The 58-year-old has presented Seven’s weekend news bulletin for the past 15 years. She returns to the network she started at in 1982 on a deal reportedly worth at least $300,000 a year. An announcement on when Keyte will begin her new role is expected soon.
