Former V/Line chief executive James Pinder is selling his multimillion-dollar Williamstown house, about a month after being sacked amid a corruption investigation into the public transport network.
The Independent Broad-based Anti-corruption Commission probe heard in October that Mr Pinder received a $320,000 payment from cleaning company Transclean that helped pay for the deposit on the Williamstown property.
This came months after V/Line awarded Transclean a major contract.

CoreLogic records show Mr Pinder and his wife paid $2.5m for the property in December 2018.
They’ve now set a $2.75-$3.025m price guide for the renovated Edwardian with five bedrooms, four bathrooms and a pool.
The house is being marketed without an address, described as offering “impeccably designed opulence in an exclusive south Williamstown cul-de-sac”.
The realestate.com.au listing highlights the fact it had been “completely rebuilt” three years ago, to a design by award-winning architecture and interiors firm Dig Design.
The house blends period and contemporary styles, featuring polished-timber and -concrete flooring, open fireplaces, soaring ceilings, a large home study, and “designer bathrooms” including one with a freestanding tub.
The pick of the five bedrooms has an ensuite, a walk-in wardrobe, and “feature windows showcasing the pool”.
The home’s “pièce de résistance” is the main living and dining space, according to the listing, containing a 4.5m-high loft ceiling and a kitchen with induction ovens, concealed Miele appliances and a walk-in pantry.
Double stacker doors lead out to a deck overlooking the pool and a putting green on the 665sq m block.
Mr Pinder and Greg Hocking Footscray listing agent Tracey Dean declined to comment on the listing.
Metro Trains head of fleet operational support Peter Bollas was also sacked as a result of the six-day IBAC hearing, while Metro and V/Line terminated their contracts with Transclean.
