In the episode to air tonight, the pair spit accusations at each other in a genuine show of hostility that almost threatens to boil over as the hosts and contestants watch on.

It is the first time they have met since Green’s controversial victory in the ring over Mundine in Adelaide last year.

“We’ll fight the third fight and I’ll whip your arse,’’ Mundine says.

“We can walk up the hill, Choc, no problem,’’ Green retorts.

But Mundine says he isn’t prepared to fight for free.

“I want to get paid for this,” he says.

Publicly, the two boxers have traded insults for more than a decade and have famously clashed in two grudge matches.

Mundine won the opening bout in 2006, and Green scored a controversial win in a rematch last year.

Eyeing each other off in an pre-recorded encounter, hosts Julia Morris and Chris Brown try to make light of the tense opening moments as the conversation escalates.

“If you’re a real fighter we’d walk up the hill,” Green said.

“You don’t need money mate, let’s just fight, you’re a pussy cat.”

But Mundine pushed back: “You’re a pussy cat. You’re scared. You’re running scared. Let’s make it happen.

“He’s scared. He doesn’t want to face me. I damaged you man, I’ll damage you again.”

It’s understood the deal to get the pair on to the program involve furious negotiations and took more than a year.

Channel 10 has teased about the showdown for weeks since promotions for the third season began. The boxers are now both expected to live side by side in the jungle alongside other celebrities.

It comes just a day after Green slammed footy star Brendan Fevola after he claimed the rivalry was fake.
