Gossip Queen: Jodi Anasta reveals she and ex-husband Braith Anasta learning to co-parent after split

NEIGHBOURS star Jodi Anasta has spoken of the supportive relationship she has with her ex-husband Braith as they co-parent their two-year-old daughter Aleeia.

NEIGHBOURS star Jodi Anasta has spoken of the supportive relationship she has with her ex-husband Braith as they co-parent their two-year-old daughter Aleeia.

``It is modern day, it is all about doing the best with the situation at hand and that is all you can do really,’’ Anasta said at a recent White Pages function.

``It is working and Braith is very supportive. It is great we have the co-parenting thing down pat so that always helps. I am doing my best.’’

The couple separated in November, three years after their Bali wedding.

Anasta is based in Melbourne up to four days a week when filming Neighbours, while Braith looks after Aleeia in Sydney.

Over the course of the year however they try to ensure their daughter spends an equal amount of time with each parent.

``I would say, generally speaking, it is 50/50 between Braith and I,’’ she said.

``Every term we have two weeks off, so I get to go off and spend time with Aleeia and make up for any lost time.

``I have a beautiful little girl and just seeing her grow and thrive as she gets older is such a wonderful experience for me.

``I’m not feeling selfish or anything like that because I see how happy she is.’’

Anasta said she was delighted with her role as Elly Conway on Neighbours and was relishing her return to series TV.

``It is so hectic, but you know what, it is everything I thought it would be,’’ she said.

``I am so creatively stimulated and excited to be working with everyone — the cast, crew, production — I am so happy right now.

``It is filling that void in me, creatively speaking. It is such a supportive environment and to have that when I am here (in Melbourne) on my own, I could not ask for more.’’
