A jailed Gold Coast wife killer accused of fresh fraud and forgery charges had his matter adjourned in court.

Andrew Cobby is facing five counts of alleged fraud - dishonestly obtaining property from another - and two counts of alleged forgery.

During a mention in court on Thursday, the matters were adjourned to June 23.

He had not entered any pleas for the charges.

In November 2017, Cobby ambushed his estranged wife Kym, beat her with a hammer, dragged her by the hair when she tried to flee and choked her to death before leaving her bloodied body in the street.

Kym’s injuries were so severe that her brother-in-law who discovered her body near the driveway of her home could not even recognise her after the “frightening” and “sickening” attack.

In November last year, Cobby was found guilty of murder and jailed for life.
