A woman who allegedly repeatedly punched a man in the face after assaulting his neighbour, has denied the allegations in a Geelong court.

Stephanie Morris, 32, faced the Geelong Magistrates Court for a contest mention, and is charged with multiple offences, the most serious being recklessly causing injury.

The court heard Ms Morris, of Shepparton, allegedly punched three separate victims in the face.

Police prosecutor Senior Constable Laura Wood said on August 1, Ms Morris was at an evening birthday party in Whittington, drinking alcohol.

Constable Wood said Ms Morris left the residence and returned about half an hour later in an “erratic state”.

The court heard Mr Morris then punched a woman about 10 times, before fleeing the address.

Five days later, about 10.30pm, Ms Morris was at a house in Geelong West and was drinking with a female friend when a verbal argument broke out, the court heard.

Police allege Ms Morris punched the woman to the head multiple times, before using a ceramic soap container to hit her in the head.

“The complainant lost consciousness for a period of time as a result, and the accused left the residence,” Constable Wood told the court.

After the incident, the court heard Ms Morris went to a neighbour’s house, and informed a man she had been allegedly stabbed by her friend.

The court heard Ms Morris was “drunk and highly aggressive” towards the neighbour and “began repeatedly punching him five to six times to the face and head”.

Just after 11pm police arrived after receiving reports of a woman who had been slashed with a knife, and located Ms Morris.

The court heard Ms Morris was highly emotional and had a laceration to her left wrist and palm and was taken to hospital to be assessed for her injury.

Ms Morris’s lawyer told the court his client denied all the allegations.

The matter will return to court at a later date.
