A St Leonards woman has been arrested after allegedly making hoax calls which forced Geelong high school students to evacuate their classrooms.

Geelong detectives have arrested an 18-year-old woman after alleged threats were made to Grovedale College on February 14.

Police were called to the school on Wingarra Dr just after 1pm to conduct a safety check.

A parent was told by their son, a student at the college, that there had allegedly been a bomb threat.

The area was assessed by police and deemed safe.

It is believed students missed one lesson after being forced to evacuate.

Police were also called to Grovedale College on February 6 after threats were made.

However, detectives are still investigating if the St Leonards woman is linked to the incident.

Investigators are working to determine if the woman has a connection to the college.

She was charged on summons and will front the Geelong Magistrates Court on May 30.
