The condition of a man shot by police moments after he allegedly confronted them has been revealed.

A man shot by police after allegedly confronting them remains in a critical condition.
The 37-year-old was airlifted to hospital on Friday afternoon and remained in a “critical but stable condition” on Monday morning.
A police spokesman confirmed the investigation remained ongoing.
It’s alleged the man pulled another person from his car in Iona St in Geelong’s northern suburbs on Friday afternoon.
The Holden Commodore was discovered in Warrawee Ave around 30 minutes later, and the man was confronted by police officers.

Norlane residents have told of the shocking moment a man was shot by police on a “quiet” residential street.
A man, believed to aged in his 30s, was flown to hospital in a serious condition on Friday afternoon.
Officers attended Iona St in Geelong’s north about 3.50pm after reports a man was allegedly threatened with a firearm and pulled from his car by an offender.
The alleged offender drove off in a Holden Commodore, which was later discovered in Warrawee Ave about 4.25pm.
Police were notified and attended the scene.
The man with the firearm allegedly confronted officers, who then shot him.
Dean Roberts, who has lived in Warrawee Ave for five years, claimed he’d heard police warning the man not to move.
“ I was inside and I heard gunshots … then another two or three,” he said.
“I thought I’d go and have a look and heard yelling … then I’ve seen the coppers say ‘don’t move, don’t move, put it down.’”
Witnesses at the scene reported large sections of the street remained taped off after 6pm.
Debbie Budzynski was at the Norlane street to help calm her sister down .
“It’s a big shock. I can to help calm her (sister) down,” she told the Geelong Advertiser.
“It’s a very quiet street, she’s been here three or four years and I’ve never seen anything like this.”
Victoria Police said the professional standards command had been notified and would attend the scene.
