Geelong commuters have been hit with delays after a car crashed into a boom gate at North Shore on Tuesday morning.
V/Line announced at about 8.30am that trains would be resuming after multiple services along the Geelong line were suspended this morning.
V/Line pleaded with passengers planning travel on Tuesday morning to check station platform displays, listen for announcements, and allow extra time for their journey.
“The Geelong service are currently delayed due to a vehicle hitting a boom gate, police are on scene and we hope to resume services shortly,” V/Line said in a statement on social media.
Motorists travelling in the North Shore area were told to expect delays.
It comes only a week after a taxi and a train collided near Kardinia Park, resulting in the driver being taken to hospital.
