SENIOR cabinet Minister Greg Hunt’s Twitter account has “liked” a porn tweet — just weeks after Christopher Pyne claimed his Twitter account had been “hacked” after it liked a gay porn video.
The Federal Health Minister’s account “liked” the explicit tweet at 5.01am. The “like” has since been deleted.
A spokeswoman for Minister Hunt claimed the like was the work of a hacker.
“This was clearly a hack and has therefore been referred to the AFP,” she said.
The incident comes just weeks after Defence Industries Minister Christopher Pyne blamed hackers for liking an explicit gay porn tweet from his official social media account at 2am.
Mr Pyne suggested the hack may have been someone “making mischief over the plebiscite”, given it occurred the day the “yes” vote was delivered.
He has been a vocal supporter of marriage equality.
At the time, Australian Conservatives senator Cory Bernardi called for Attorney-General George Brandis to investigate the breach, and said he was concerned that national security was at risk if the Defence Industries Minister’s phone had been hacked.
“I’m deeply concerned about national security implications of (the) hacking of Pyne’s social media account,” Senator Bernardi said
