A: Yes, but you may need to enter quarantine when you arrive home if the situation deteriorates and public health advice changes.

A: You are strongly advised not to travel to Sydney as there are no guarantees you will be able to come back without quarantining. Avoid hot spots areas, and monitor for symptoms. Follow health advice in NSW and watch for restrictions when travelling home to Victoria.
Q: What about flying back to Victoria from NSW?
A: Travel restrictions may be enforced if the situation in NSW deteriorates and public health advice changes. There could be 14-day quarantine periods enforced for anyone travelling from NSW to Victoria.
Q: Can I drive across the border?
A: From today, a permit will be required people travelling from NSW or who has visited NSW and travelling to Victoria. People from ‘red’ zones won’t be allowed into Victoria.

A: A permit will still be required declaring that you have not stopped in the red zone on your journey to Victoria.

A: Stay where you are and don’t travel to Victoria. If you have been or visited a red zone on or after 11 December and are currently in Victoria you must get tested and must self quarantine in your home or accommodation for 14 days. From today will not get a permit to travel to Victoria if you have been in the red zone.

A: Anyone from Sydney is encouraged to get tested on arrival, and self quarantine until they get a negative test result.

A: Travellers coming from regional NSW to Victoria are asked to get tested if they have even mild symptoms.
Q: I recently travelled by flight to Victoria from NSW, what should I do?
A: If you have been or visited a red zone on or after 11 December and are currently in Victoria you must get tested and self quarantine in your home or accommodation for 14 days since you last visited the red zone.
If you’re from Greater Sydney you are encouraged to get tested and self quarantine until you receive a negative result, if you are travelling from regional NSW, monitor for any symptoms.
